Manager, Communications at Kaplan, Inc in Remote
This position is responsible for supporting the planning and execution of internal and external communications strategies that highlight the company's vision, brand and business strategy with customers while also driving employee engagement on company priorities and key initiatives. Campaigns, initiatives, news, and announcements are communicated and measured in an effective and timely manner using a variety of media channels. Duties include:
? Supporting the creation and distribution of media announcements ? Creating content for, and updating, internal communication landing pages, employee newsletters and other employee-focused channels ? Formatting and distributing group email communications ? Supporting the production of quarterly town halls and other visual storytelling ? Project management for key initiatives, along with analysis of outcomes ? Managing and hosting weekly virtual Leadership Chats for employee engagement with company leaders ? Researching and writing stories about employees for recognition and appreciation ? Producing employee surveys and other forms of measuring employee feedback ? Generating reports on metrics related to communications initiatives Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years of related corporate communications experience (preferably both internal communications and PR); journalism background highly desirable. Experience in intranet development, design and content management Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to think strategically, with solid business knowledge, organizational savvy and negotiation skills Ability to work well with team members and all levels of management Excellent organizational skills, including ability to multitask, organize, prioritize and follow through on commitments Ability to maintain discretion and manage confidential information Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google products, including PowerPoint, Word and Google Places Proficient in relevant social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc. Ability to travel occasionally and work flexible hours as necessary and to respond to any PR/media/crisis situations that may arise Ability to respond to rapidly changing conditions with agility and judgment, capitalizing on emerging communication opportunities Excellent writing skills and ability to tailor messages to specific and multiple constituencies and different media.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
