Manufacturing Engineering Manager

As a Manufacturing Engineering Manager in our Aerospace Defense & Marine (AD&M) business, you will manage a diverse team of Manufacturing Engineers, Industrial Engineers, and Technicians. Your team will be the process leaders for stamping, brazing/welding or assembly related topics, ensuring the manufacturing processes are running at optimum levels for quality and output. The primary responsibilities for this position include: Managing the day-to-day activities of the Manufacturing Engineering team, providing engineering support to manufacturing department and operators Working with cross functional teams to ensure manufacturing engineering practices adhere to Quality Management System and customer specifications  Providing leadership in planning, managing, and coordinating engineering operations to ensure that scheduled projects are completed at optimum costs, consistent with safety and quality requirements, for on-time delivery to customers Planning, developing, implementing and improving manufacturing methods, processes, and documents for new and existing products to ensure on time delivery of proto types, first time jobs and projects for manufacturing Assisting in the development of strategies concerning process/product development timelines, and project priorities Conducting process capability studies and optimizing processes to achieve ongoing cost reductions Applying fundamental scientific principles to create practical solutions to technical challenges and provide technical support across functions Leading cost saving and process improvement initiatives across all production operations, achieving established productivity targets Preparing work instructions for manufacturing processes Implementing process controls to prevent and/or detect process failures and ensure process continues to operate as originally validated Identifying and establishing process limits through process characterization studies and DOE's Dispositioning of Material Review Boards (MRB's) & processing Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMR's)  Assessing failures and determine and address root causes Leading or supporting the transition of new products from development into production Managing capital improvement projects Liaising with Engineering Council and other - TE Operating Advantage members to align with TE best practices Ensuring safety and adherence to GMP and safe operating practices What your background should look like... Minimum of 5 years' experience in manufacturing engineering and people management. Bachelor's degree in engineering Strong analytical, project management, and problem solving skills Team player with good interpersonal skills who can work across various functions Due to ITAR regulations, U.S. Citizenship and/or Permanent Resident is required   Nice to have... The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
