The Aerospace, Defense and Marine (Aerospace, Defense and Marine or AD&M) business unit of TE is part of the Industrial Solutions segment (Industrial Solutions) and is a world leader in the design of components and electrical interconnection solutions that are used for applications in extreme and rigorous environments. Job Overview
The Manufacturing Operations Supervisor will work at a premier site in the Aerospace, Defense, and Marine business. This site is part of the HPG (High Performance Group) that provides relays for a variety of highly regulated applications, such as power plants, aircraft, military, undersea cables, special rovers, etc.
In this new role, you will be responsible for multiple production processes across all three shifts and oversee about 80 people.
What you will be doing...
Managing for the day-to-day operations for the manufacturing functions
Define goals, improve technologies, and determine best course of action to meet schedules and resolve technical issues.
Translating customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and process, resulting in cost-effective processing and profitable manufacturing of company products.
Owning of the plant escalation process to ensure schedules are maintained.
Working closely with other plant support functions, communicating the status of operations, and requesting assistance from them when required.
Determining if labor resources are sufficient for successfully meeting production requirements and assure that these resources are properly trained and being used to achieve maximum capacity. Labor flexibility is a key initiative that is being driven in the plant.
Monitoring operations in conjunction with the EHS Coordinator assuring that we are following all safety and environmental regulations and specifications.
Driving plant continuous improvement efforts and lean concepts with team. Supporting them through the PIM and tier processes.
What your background should look like...
This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in manufacturing
HS Diploma or equivalent is required
Prior supervisory or leadership experience is strongly preferred
Nice to have:
Experience in the use of Six Sigma tools and lean manufacturing techniques
Experience in lead time reduction and cost savings activities
Prior experience in a plant lean transformation
Experience with MRP and CRP manufacturing applications

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
