Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Technical Engineering Support Teams analyze, test and assist in research for the development of products and processes. Team members may specialize in quality control or assurance, chemical manufacturing processes, metals, electrical connectors and components, process development, materials, and/or instrumentation. They may also handle calibration, displays, network control, mold development and audiovisual work or environmental health and safety. The Technical Engineering Support Teams are responsible for the completion of assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines. They plan, prioritize, and manage multiple engineering projects; prioritize tasks and assign team members to ensure that the team's overall resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met. They evaluate and authorize changes that significantly impact the scope, budget, or timeline of a project. At times, they may work directly with customers to understand needs, gather customer requirements, identify resources and assess project risks. They create, develop, plan, write and edit operational, instructional, maintenance or test procedures for paper, multimedia or web-based publication, for non-technical and technical users.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Responsible for the daily setup and maintenance of production equipment and processes. This equipment includes resistance welders, potting equipment, solder equipment, and tools and fixtures related to the assembly of electromechanical relays. Must have a good understanding of resistance welding as well as a good dexterity and mechanical inclination. The setup technician must also be able to troubleshoot issues and drive to a root cause. Must be flexible and adaptive to a changing work environment and be able to pivot to the highest priority. The employee filling this position must be a self-starter that requires minimal supervision. Good time management and prioritization skills are highly desirable. The setup technician is part of a team and will require good teamwork and communication skills.
1. Read setup instructions and setup equipment so that it can be used by production employees. After a setup the equipment should require minimal adjustment to maintain production throughput.
2. On a daily basis, maintain various potting equipment so that the equipment will run efficiently and without downtime.
3. Suggest innovative improvements to tools and fixtures. Consult with drafting and design on any tool or fixture improvement that may be necessary.
4. Help to investigate any production issues and aide in determining the root cause as well as aide in the implementation of a robust corrective action.
5. Communicates needs to management so that the proper support can be given.
This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
2 Yr. Technical Degree in mechanical discipline preferred
At least 5 years in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated success
Sense of urgency combined with strong attention to detail as well as the ability to handle multiple responsibilities and react quickly to changing priorities, Flexibility and willingness to change as business conditions require is a must.
Excellent written and oral communication / interpersonal skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers, suppliers and customers.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
