Senior Manager, Supply Chain

The Aerospace, Defense and Marine (Aerospace, Defense and Marine or AD&M) business unit of TE is part of the Industrial Solutions segment (Industrial Solutions) and is a world leader in the design of components and electrical interconnection solutions that are used for applications in extreme and rigorous environments. Job Overview

The Senior Manager of Supply Chain will oversee Supply Chain Operations in the HPG (High Performance Group) division of the Aerospace, Defense, and Marine business. This division provides relays for a variety of highly regulated applications, such as power plants, aircraft, military, undersea cables, special rovers, etc.

In this role, you ll demonstrate a high sense of urgency and be a pivotal member to the HPG team. Using your data analytics skills, you will influence the division s supply chain strategy and therein impact a global customer base.

What you will be doing...

  • Establishing department objectives and goals to provide organizational visibility on key metrics and attainment.
  • Actively tracking weekly results and implement actions to drive needed improvement. Key areas include delivery/past due performance and inventory management
  • Planning short and long-range production and inventory requirements considering such factors as forecasts, manpower, machine capacity, and material availability.
  • Proactively anticipating and communicating potential shortages to appropriate plant personnel.
  • Developing and executing recovery plans for anticipated shortages to eliminate/minimize impact to production and customers.
  • Performing root cause analysis for finished goods shortages and implement long term corrective actions
  • Owning and managing a group of external suppliers and ensuring on-time delivery
  • Monitoring inventory accuracy and target levels for purchased and produced parts to meet production and customer needs, and ensuring target inventory goals are met
  • Creating and releasing purchase orders and supplier agreements
  • Developing team members to excel at their roles.
  • Traveling up to 20%

What your background should look like...

  • This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U. S. citizen or national, U. S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U. S., or person admitted into the U. S. as a refugee.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in operations and or supply chain logistics and people management.
  • Bachelor s degree in business, supply chain, or related field
  • Prior planning and buying experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally with low volume/high product mix.
  • Possess working knowledge of all areas of Supply Chain: Procurements, Logistics, Customer Service and Engineering.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills who can work across various functions
  • Possess solid influencing skills, particularly where there is no reporting relationship.
  • Experience using ERP systems

Nice to have:

  • SAP experience
  • APICS

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
